Beijing Botanical Garden is located close to XiangShan Park at the foot of the Western Fragrant Hills. It contains Sleeping Buddha (also called WoFoSi Temple in Chinese) in the north. With an area of about 400 hectares, this garden was established on the approval of the State Council in 1956. In a word, it is a treasury of all the botanical resources from North, Northeast and northwest of China; also an integration of scientific research, science permeations and tourist site. |
